You Are Awesome!

YOU ARE AWESOME

The days have flown by

Another year gone

Every page almost filled

Take time to review

And appreciate all you have done.

The smiles and love

          You’ve given

The times you’ve

          Been there

The poetry and prose

          You’ve written

With your life.

You are Awesome!

Don’t cry over what

          You didn’t do

You are now given

          A new blank book

Days to live

Pages to fill

Filled with possibilities

Filled with dreams

Waiting for you

          To create your dreams.

What will you write?

The choice is yours.

If you KNEW

          You could not fail

What would you write?

I believe in you.

I know

          You cannot fail

Dream your dreams

Plan your days.

Then do that thing

You would do

          If you knew

                   You could not fail.

Because you can’t.

You can only

          Grow and learn and become.

For You Are Awesome!

May this year be filled with peace and may it bring you all your dreams.

Love,

Dr. Jeanne

Make 2010 Your Best Year Ever
Christmas is over. It was a quiet one spent with Ken. Football is at it's height. In college all the bowl games. In the pros, getting ready for the playoffs. In Nebraska and Colorado it's been cold and a LOT of snow. Here in Arizona it's been chilly but no moisture.

And now we look toward the new year. It is a time to dream. It is a time to decide what we want our lives to look like in 2010. My wish for each of you is that 2010 is the best year of your life. That you grow in the most exciting new ways. That you live with passion giving what you most want to give. That your life is filled with love.

I'll take a minute and tell you what is going on in my life. After spending most of my time the last few years writing and then marketing my two novels, I've turned my attention back to helping people maintain or regain their health. I spent years in Chiropractic College learning to do that, then years practicing and continuing to study. I can't waste that knowledge nor the talent I have to help people. So I have looked at how I can best do that. And health coaching is that way.

So I am again studying and writing. And learning how best to share what I know and help people.

he three most exciting things I'm doing right now?

  • Giving free teleseminars to teach people about give them a blueprint for health. They are experiential, interactive and filled with information. I'm having a lot of fun and I think the people who listen are too.
  • Writing and recording guided visualizations to help you make 2010 the best year of your life--including becoming really healthy. I've been asked for years to start recording these and I guess lack of self confidence has kept me from it. Now I'm doing it.
  • And coaching people by telephone.  Learning to help people balance their bodies by phone and create health is new to me. But the success iI'm gaving s spurring me forward.

To receive information right in you email, click on home and fill in the sign up form. I'll let you know about all the free things I'm giving including the visualizations and the teleseminars. Coming in January will be teleseminars on Weight Management, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Diabetes. There will be another one--probably depression.

Did you know that 1 in 5 women in North America is on at least one antidepressant. I hope to help some of those come back to living a life of joy.

I hope to help people find great health and to help them make 2010 better than they imagine.

Have a blessed, healthy, happy and creative New Year!

Love,

Dr. Jeanne

WANT MORE JOY? HERE ARE ANSWERS

WANT MORE JOY? HERE’S HELP

It’s Christmastime again. The time of love, joy and goodwill to men. Yet it’s also the darkest time of the year (the shortest days of all the year) and the time when more people struggle with feeling alone, feeling blue, feeling like there’s just too much to do, like there isn’t enough money to go around. Sometimes a time of thinking if we just had this or that, then we’d be happy.

I want to help you or one you care about to get through this holy time with more joy and with less times of feeling down and discouraged. So please read on, I do have a gift to help. Or if you’d just like to know how to live your life with more joy every single day—I can and will help.

Know what? Most people don’t even know they don’t need to feel blue. Oh, I’m not talking about after a great loss. We have to grieve those. (But even those can be gotten through easier and faster!) I’m talking about those days you’d just rather put your head under a pillow. I used to call them my “stop world and let me off days.” Days when the world seems to be spinning too fast. Days when I feel like I’ll just never get everything done. Days when I don’t know how I’ll ever get where I want to be in life. Days when I just wish someone would hold out their hand to pull me up. Days when I feel alone. And often, when those times hit, we don’t do anything. We feel paralyzed.

Millions of people struggle through days or weeks or months like that. If it’s only a day here and there, don’t worry. Just curl up with a good book or movie or whatever you love to do. But if it’s more than that or if it keeps coming back, you deserve better. And there are totally natural things you can do.

I know. I’ve been there. I’ve suffered from bouts of depression all my adult life. Oh, I didn’t call it depression. Didn’t believe it if someone suggested it. After all, I’m Merry Sunshine (or Jeanne Sunshine). But they were right, I was depressed. I still let it creep up on me now and then. And I know better.

You know, we only get so many days in this life. I don’t want to waste even one of them. They’re just too precious. And my days are sifting through the hour glass at such a fast pace, well, I do want every one that’s left to be awesome. I’m not being negative. I believe I have years left. But not nearly as many years as I used to have.

So I don’t want you (or me) to waste a single one.

Depression is a silent disease. One that slips in and makes its home. Did you know one of every 5 women in North America is on antidepressant drugs? And they’re not a cure. They only make it feel better sometimes. There are ways to really change it!

You can kick it out now. It’s not about being disciplined (though that will help); it’s not about thinking positive (though that will help); whatever the initial cause, almost always the result is a chemical imbalance that can usually be easily balanced using natural ingredients with no side effects.

I’ll give you a great deal of helpful information.

I think you can tell, this comes from my heart. I want everyone to live in love, joy, health and happiness. I don’t want anyone in this world to live with depression. And believe me, even if you’ve had a huge loss, you can get through it faster. You can feel better. I can help. I think I can help because I’ve been there. I can help because I have the education in natural healing. I can help because I care.

This is my gift to you or anyone you know who seems to get depressed. Who has down days. Who has suffered a great loss.

On December 15 and 16, I’ll be giving a teleseminar filled with tips and things that do make a difference. That will get your life back on track. That will help bring joy into your life. I’m giving it twice because it’s so important and I want to find a time that works for everyone.

If you know someone who has a hard time with the holidays or has suffered a loss, or wants more happiness in their lives, or just gets down a lot, please tell them. If you have those days, please join me.

These teleseminars are absolutely free with no obligation. Your only cost is the long distance charges for calling in. I think when it’s over you’ll agree I should be charging for it.

There will also be free gifts for all who join us on either of these seminars.

So tell others and go to http://drjeanne.net to sign up for the day and time that fits your schedule best.

I love you and want your life to be one of joy. Every day.

Dr. Jeanne

CHRISTMAS BLUES

CHRISTMAS BLUES

Most of us suffer from depression at some time in our lives. The holidays are frequently the worst time for feeling blue. We miss our loved ones more. We’re under unbelievable stress to get everything done. Money seems to go out faster than it comes in—the list goes on and on. And our mood may suffer.

And often we try to overlook or overcome these sad periods. Depression happens at all levels. We tend to think we’re weak and we should be able to overcome it. The fact is, that most depression is actually caused by a biochemical imbalance. Our body isn’t making enough of those wonderful chemicals serotonin and epinephirine. And without them, our moods will be low or swing too high and too low.

But, you say, I just lost (my husband, my wife, my child, my friend, my job, my income etc. etc.). Yes, that can trigger depression, but frequently that loss causes a change in your brain chemistry.

No amount of being strong, or toughing it out will right the problem. Yes, time may. The body is wonderful about eventually righting itself. But sometimes without doing the right things for your body, it just can’t.

Sometimes we just get blue. That’s normal if it goes away within a few days. But if it hangs on, or you tend to get that feeling over and over in your life, then you might consider taking steps to change that problem.

You know, I’m not in favor of drugs. The antidepressant drugs have severe side effects—sometimes even making the depression worse. And I’ve seen too many patients where, they were given a drug, then a drug to mask a side effect, then another drug to mask another side effect etc.

There are many other things you can do to help overcome it, but if there is a chemical imbalance and it is not recognized, then they will have only short term benefits. Nevertheless, these benefits will be real and a great relief from the sad feeling.

Here are a few things that will help:

  • Avoid alcoholic beverages and all sweeteners
  • Get out in the sunshine every day (some of us are lucky enough to live where the sun shines most days. If you don’t—get out when it does.)
  • Exercise every day
  • Eat frequent balanced meals with lots of fruits and veggies
  • Practice some sort of relaxation technique

Just in time for the holidays, I’m offering a free teleseminar with indepth information about the causes of all levels of depression and detailed information about what you can do to truly get over it during the holidays or permanently. I hope you’ll join us. There’s absolutely no obligation, no cost other than your long distance charges to be on the call and you’ll get some pretty neat free gifts for attending.

Because it takes so much joy away from so many people, we’re offering it twice, hoping one of the times will work for you.

Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time

And Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. MST

You’ll find sign up sheets at http://drjeanne.net

If you click on the Teleseminar tab on the web site, you’ll also learn some of the topics that I’ll be doing seminars on in January.

Again, there is no obligation and the only cost is for the long distance call you make to be on the call.

Remember, you deserve to live a long, joyous and healthy life,

Love,

Dr. Jeanne

November 15

I need more fat?
You probably do. Most Americans do.

As I have been researching our most devastating diseases so I can rwite about them for you, I have learned one fact that surprised me. It shouldn't have, but it did.

Before I tell you about that, though, I'll pass on a bit of personal news. Yesterday when Ken brought the mail in, there was a catalog of holiday gifts from the Danish Cultural Museum. This is an international society. And my book, Becoming Bestemor is in it. Wow. Feels like I'm making the big time. Writing brings many moments that are treasures. If you've ever thought about writing a book, do it! And now some very important information for you.

One of the very most important things you can do to protect yourself from almost all chronic disease (including heart disease, stroke, cancer, Arthritis, Alzheimer's, ad Parkinson's is to get adequate Omega 3's. In many cases they can reverse the disease dramatically even after you have it. In later writings I'll go into detail about why, but I wanted to get the word to you quickly. Our cells need fatty acids and have fats in the cell wall. The trick is to get the right kind of fats. As I read about diseases, the Omega 3's kept coming up as one of the very most important nutrients.

Why do they work? They are anti-inflammatories and inflammation is now thought to be a primary underlying factor in all the diseases I mentioned above. If we can keep inflammation at a low level, we greatly reduce our risk of all these diseases. They could improve brain function and decrease cholesterol. The list of wonderful things they do seems endless. So until I get all this information written and out to you, give yourself the gift of better health by getting these powerful nutrients.

Omega 3's don't come in butter or steak or even chicken (at least to any appreciable degree. So where do you get them?

The ALA come from flax seeds, flax seed oils and Omega 3 eggs. The DHA and EPA comes from fish oils and Omega 3 eggs.

Flax seeds need to be ground fine to be digested. I would use only organic flax seed oil that comes in a dark bottle. Light and air oxidize oil making it damaging. It is helpful to squeeze a Vitamin E pearl in the bottle when you open it and then shake it. The Vitamin E protects the oil from that oxidation.

The fish that are most bneficial are wild cuaght cold water fish such as salmon and halibut when they are freshly prepared. Farm-raised fish often carry diseases so I don't buy them, but keep looking until I find the Wild Caught.

You need both the flax seed oil and the fish. And when you do eat eggs, be sure they're the Omege 3 eggs.

In addition to what we can get from food, most of us need to take a quality Omega 3 fish oil supplement. Not all supplements are of equal quality.  There are cofactors that help make the Omega 3's more effective. These are the B vitamins, Magnesium, Selenium, Glutathion, and policosonals.

Antioxidants are important to take with Omega 3's. Vit C and E are the most well known antioxidants, but grape seed extract is even more powerful.

If you need information on really high quality supplements, go to http://drjeanne.net/contactus.aspx

Give yourself and your loved ones this gift. Because you deserve to live a long and healthy life!

Love,

Dr. Jeann
